I finished Chickami #2 today:

I've been knitting like crazy the last few days to get this done by the end of today, and honestly can't believe I did it. I just started this on Saturday. Definitely the quickest I've ever been at completing something more than a dishcloth! I made this one in a size smaller than the first, and discovered when it was almost time to do the raglan shaping that my tension was tighter than the first. Had a few minutes of terror that I'd have to frog (it looked really tiny before trying on), but as you can see, it does indeed fit me!

I'm off to Vancouver tomorrow to attend an
adoption conference. This is job-related as my job is as an adoption social worker. The conference will be a nice change to the office routine. I'm taking a new sock project with me (Regia 5271 knit top down). Blog with you all next Monday!

It's not always pink!

Jo has mentioned in my comments that I must like pink as so much of the stuff I've been making lately is that colour. Todays entry is to prove that I really can knit with other colours.

First, I finished my first pair of toe up socks:

I kind of wish these ones were pink though, not the most attractive colourway in my opinion.

I've also started another ChicKami:

This is also made with Elann Sonata, the colour is danish blue. I'll be making the wide strap variation this time.
