Yesterday was our 9th Anniversary, and Joe had these lovely roses sent to me at work. What a sweety, am I lucky or what!?!
It's been a pretty good week. Tuesday marked the end of my first week on Weight Watchers, and of course my weigh in. I'm happy to say that I'm down 2.6 pounds! Still continuing to go to Curves after work. I'm really enjoying, it's a nice way to unwind at the end of the day.
Now for a small amount of knitting content : I've worked quite a bit on my one sock on two circular needles. I've finished the gusset decrease, and am now working on the foot. I should finish it this weekend. I'm really enjoying this method, and will definitely be trying two socks on two circs very soon. It seems like it might be a bit faster than DPNs. Haven't touched Bob all week, hopefully will get to it on the weekend. Monday is a statutory holiday here in Canada (Victoria Day), so I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing long weekend, hopefully with lots of knitting time!

Sorry for not blogging in the last week! I now go to Curves every day after work, so get home later and still have dinner to make, chores to do etc. Even eating healthy takes more time, (as opposed to snapping some convenience foods together). The result is that I feel great and my jeans are already fitting better after one week! The downside of course is that I have less time for knitting, the computer, and blogging. I barely knit at all last week. I did however have a pretty good knit day yesterday. Some time ago, I purchased the 2 socks on 2 circs CD from Moran Software . I finally had time to give this method a try yesterday. I quickly abandoned the two socks part, as this seemed a bit confusing initially (although the instructions are excellent), with great potential for tangled yarn to add to the frustration. I thought that knitting one sock would help me understand this technique, which it definitely has done. I will be trying the 2 sock part after I finish my current pair one sock at a time. Here's a picture of the first sock, about an inch away from beginning the heel:
The yarn I'm using is Confetti 195. I love the purple, pink, and blue of this colourway! Remember last week I posted that I thought I was getting sick of sock knitting? Both knitting with this colourway plus a new method have definitely cured this!
