Another weekend has come and gone, and the work week is once again upon us. At least the weather has improved here, and I have a lot more energy. I didn’t do much knitting this weekend, but did finish the “Bless your cotton” socks, pattern from Red Bird Knits (but purchased at an LYS in Nanaimo) I didn’t use cotton though, I used Patons Look at me yarn (acrylic and nylon). I do think that the colour (high energy verigated) is very spring-like:

I think I’m getting tired of making socks. I will at some point soon cast on for the second Blueberry waffle sock, otherwise I’m scared it will never get done. Other than that, I need to try a different type of sock, either toe up or on circs, just to add some variety. The majority of my knit time this week will however be devoted to Bob.

One of my weekend chores was to put away all of my winter clothes and bring out the spring and summer ones. It always feels good to put the heavy things away and get the lighter things out (doesn’t feel as good when the seasons are reversed though)! I was merciless in sorting through stuff to get rid of. I ended up taking 2 ½ garbage bags of clothes and shoes to the thrift store. Lying in bed last night, I was regretting some of my choices a bit, but I’ll get over it. As hubby says, I’ll have more room for new things when I loose my weight now! Going through my summer stuff, I came across this crop top that I knit in the mid-eighties:

It was made with cotton ribbon, purchased from a Canadian yarn chain called Kinsey Wool. Any Canadians reading this remember them? This particular one was in Aberdeen Mall in Kamloops. I loved that store, I don’t think it has been around for many years now. Anyway, hopefully I’ll be able to wear this again this summer, once a few pounds are gone and my tummy is more toned.

I guess that’s about it for now. It will probably be a tiring (yet exciting) week as I get back into going to the gym and following the Weight Watchers plan. Hope you all have a great week!
