Yay, the Spring Knitty is out, and I know what I want to make from it! Check out Sitcom Chic. I like the idea of making something Spring-like, since here on the West Coast, we have had a mild winter and it feels like spring already. Do you think I should make myself finish Topsecret before I start this though? I didn't touch Topsecret all weekend, except for taking it out of its bag to try to get a pic to show here (no luck, the dark color was just not conducive to photographing). Anyhow, I am off to Nanaimo tomorrow, so between my favourite LYS, Michaels or Walmart, I am going to try to get the yarn for Sitcom Chic!
Sock Progress..........Does anyone ever know that they should correct a mistake and stubbornly knit on anyway? I had just completed the gusset decrease earlier on my second Mexiko sock, when a dropped and then picked up stitch resulted in a bit of a ridge in the knitting. I didn't think it was that noticeable, and kept knitting. Ten or fifteen rows later, after looking at it several times and still trying to delude myself that it was okay, I finally admitted that it wasn't, and had to frog. So I really wasted my knitting day when it came right down to it. Oh well, live and learn!
