Frog Time

And I'm not happy about it. I was working away on Top Secret last night, thinking about how nice it looked. Stopped knitting to smooth out and admire my work, and notice that it somehow got twisted. No idea how I managed to do this, not like it is a difficult project or anything. So Frog time tonight.

On a different topic, I have noticed that lots of bloggers have pet pictures, and I haven't posted any here. So, without further adieu, here is the latest pic of are our two spoiled tabby cats, Buttons and Bambi. What is significant about this picture is that they are so rarely lying together like that, so we couldn't resist taking the shot. They have their own page here on my website, if you are interested in seeing more of them.

Time to get ready for work now, wish I could stay home and knit!

Felted!

Well the fuzzy feet are all felted, and keeping my feet warm. I was a little nervous about the whole felted thing, but am very pleased with how they turned out. I will definitely be trying other felted items. Here's a final picture of the felted fuzzy feet.
I've started another pair of socks, this time out of Confetti 194. I saw this yarn knit up in the store and liked it then, but not so sure whether I do or not now. Different colours than I normally wear, BUT it will go nicely with my Birkies! Here's a WIP shot of the socks.
I cast on last night for my first sweater in several years! I am making Topsecret from Knitty. I am using Bernat Illusions yarn in Empire Green. While I did not like crocheting with this yarn, I love knitting with it. I really like the colour of this yarn, and all going well, I think this is going to be a really nice sweater. I just checked the Bernat site, and it looks like they no longer make this colour. Fortunately, I had just the right amount for the sweater already in my stash. Always a bonus to use up something that had just been sitting there for several years!
